Kiamat / End of the World

@Kiamat

Untuk Renungan Bersama

1. Bilakah kiamat?

Surah 7. Al-Araf, Verse 187:
Indonesian:
Mereka menanyakan kepadamu tentang kiamat: “Bilakah terjadinya?”

They ask you about the Hour (Day of Resurrection): “When will be its appointed time?” Say: “The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (Alone). None can reveal its time but He. Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth. It shall not come upon you except all of a sudden.” They ask you as if you have a good knowledge of it. Say: “The knowledge thereof is with Allah (Alone) but most of mankind know not.”

2. Waktunya dirahsiakan.

Surah 20. Taha, Verse 15:

“Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives.

3. Pengetahuannya hanya di sisi Allah.

Surah 31. Luqman, Verse 34:
Indonesian:
Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Mengetahui lagi Maha Mengenal.

En: Khan:
Verily, Allah! With Him (Alone) is the knowledge of the Hour, He sends down the rain, and knows that which is in the wombs. No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. Verily, Allah is All-Knower, All-Aware (of things).

Surah 33. Al-Ahzab, Verse 63:
Indonesian:
Manusia bertanya kepadamu tentang hari berbangkit.

People ask you concerning the Hour, say: “The knowledge of it is with Allah only. What do you know? It may be that the Hour is near!”

4. Isa sebagai tanda tentang hari kiamat.

Surah 43. Az-Zukhruf, Verse 61:

And he [‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour (Day of Resurrection) [i.e. ‘Iesa’s (Jesus) descent on the earth]. Therefore have no doubt concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allah) (i.e. be obedient to Allah and do what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the Straight Path (of Islamic Monotheism, leading to Allah and to His Paradise).

Jesus: Another Example

[43:57] When the son of Mary was cited as an example, your people disregarded it.
[43:58] They said, “Is it better to worship our gods, or to worship him?” They said this only to argue with you. Indeed, they are people who have joined the opposition.
[43:59] He was no more than a servant whom we blessed, and we sent him as an example for the Children of Israel.
[43:60] If we willed, we could have made you angels who colonize and reproduce on earth.

Jesus and the End of the World*

[43:61] He is to serve as a marker for knowing the end of the world,* so you can no longer harbor any doubt about it. You shall follow Me; this is the right path.
[43:62] Let not the devil repel you; he is your most ardent enemy.
[43:63] When Jesus went with the proofs, he said, “I bring to you wisdom, and to clarify some of the matters in which you dispute. You shall reverence GOD and obey me.
[43:64] “GOD is my Lord and your Lord, you shall worship Him alone. This is the right path.”
[43:65] The opponents disputed among themselves. Woe to those who transgress from the retribution of a painful day.
[43:66] Are they waiting for the Hour (Day of Judgment) to come to them suddenly when they least expect it?
[43:67] The close friends on that day will become enemies of one another, except for the righteous.

5. Tiupan trumpet pertama. Maka terjadilah kiamat.

Surah 69. Al-Haaqqa, Verse 13:
Indonesian:
Maka apabila sangkakala ditiup sekali tiup

En: Khan:
Then when the Trumpet will be blown with one blowing (the first one),

Surah 69. Al-Haaqqa, Verse 14:
Indonesian:
dan diangkatlah bumi dan gunung-gunung, lalu dibenturkan keduanya sekali bentur.

En: Khan:
And the earth and the mountains shall be removed from their places, and crushed with a single crushing,

Surah 69. Al-Haaqqa, Verse 15:
Indonesian:
Maka pada hari itu terjadilah hari kiamat,

En: Khan:
Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall,

Surah 69. Al-Haaqqa, Verse 16:

And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up,

Surah 69. Al-Haaqqa, Verse 17:

And the angels will be on its sides, and eight angels will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them.

[69:13] When the horn is blown once.
[69:14] The earth and the mountains will be carried off and crushed; utterly crushed.
[69:15] That is the day when the inevitable event will come to pass.
[69:16] The heaven will crack, and fall apart.
[69:17] The angels will be all around, and Your Lord’s dominion will then encompass eight (universes).*
Surah 6. Al-Anaam, Verse 73:

It is He Who has created the heavens and the earth in truth, and on the Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) He will say: “Be!”, – and it shall become. His Word is the truth. His will be the dominion on the Day when the trumpet will be blown. All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. He is the All-Wise, Well-Aware (of all things).
Surah 18. Al-Kahf, Verse 99:

And on that Day [i.e. the Day Ya’juj and Ma’juj (Gog and Magog) will come out], We shall leave them to surge like waves on one another, and the Trumpet will be blown, and We shall collect them all together.

Surah 27. An-Naml, Verse 87:

And (remember) the Day on which the Trumpet will be blown and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth, will be terrified except him whom Allah will (exempt). And all shall come to Him humbled.

Surah 20. Taha, Verse 100:

Whoever turns away from it (this Quran i.e. does not believe in it, nor acts on its orders), verily, they will bear a heavy burden (of sins) on the Day of Resurrection,

Surah 20. Taha, Verse 101:

They will abide in that (state in the Fire of Hell), and evil indeed will it be that load for them on the Day of Resurrection;

Surah 20. Taha, Verse 102:
Indonesian:
(yaitu) di hari (yang di waktu itu) ditiup sangkakala dan Kami akan mengumpulkan pada hari itu orang-orang yang berdosa dengan muka yang biru muram;

En: Khan:
The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) Zurqa: (blue or blind eyed with black faces).

Surah 20. Taha, Verse 103:
In whispers will they speak to each other (saying): “You stayed not longer than ten (days).”

Surah 20. Taha, Verse 104:

We know very well what they will say, when the best among them in knowledge and wisdom will say: “You stayed no longer than a day!”
[20:100] Those who disregard it will bear a load (of sins) on the Day of Resurrection.
[20:101] Eternally they abide therein; what a miserable load on the Day of Resurrection!
[20:102] That is the day when the horn is blown, and we summon the guilty on that day blue.
[20:103] Whispering among themselves, they will say, “You have stayed (in the first life) no more than ten days!”
[20:104] We are fully aware of their utterances. The most accurate among them will say, “You stayed no more than a day.”
[20:105] They ask you about the mountains. Say, “My Lord will wipe them out.
[20:106] “He will leave them like a barren, flat land.
[20:107] “Not even the slightest hill will you see therein, nor a dip.”
[20:108] On that day, everyone will follow the caller, without the slightest deviation. All sounds will be hushed before the Most Gracious; you will hear nothing but whispers.
[20:109] On that day, intercession will be useless, except for those permitted by the Most Gracious, and whose utterances conform to His will.

Surah 23. Al-Mumenoon, Verse 101:

Then, when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask of one another.

6. Tiupan trumpet kedua. Manusia dikumpulkan.

Surah 39. Az-Zumar, Verse 68:

And the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and all who are on the earth will swoon away, except him whom Allah will. Then it will blown a second time and behold, they will be standing, looking on (waiting).

Surah 39. Az-Zumar, Verse 69:

And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord (Allah, when He will come to judge among men) and the Book will be placed (open) and the Prophets and the witnesses will be brought forward, and it will be judged between them with truth, and they will not be wronged.

Surah 39. Az-Zumar, Verse 70:

And each person will be paid in full of what he did; and He is Best Aware of what they do.
Surah 39. Az-Zumar, Verse 73:

And those who kept their duty to their Lord will be led to Paradise in groups, till, when they reach it, and its gates will be opened (before their arrival for their reception) and its keepers will say: Salamun ‘Alaikum (peace be upon you)! You have done well, so enter here to abide therein.”

The Day of Judgment

[39:68] The horn will be blown, whereupon everyone in the heavens and the earth will be struck unconscious, except those who will be spared by GOD. Then it will be blown another time, whereupon they will all rise up, looking.*
[39:69] Then the earth will shine with the light of its Lord. The record will be proclaimed, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought forth. Everyone will then be judged equitably, without the least injustice.
[39:70] Every soul will be paid for whatever it did, for He is fully aware of everything they have done.
[39:71] Those who disbelieved will be led to Hell in throngs. When they get to it, and its gates are opened, its guards will say, “Did you not receive messengers from among you, who recited to you the revelations of your Lord, and warned you about meeting this day?” They will answer, “Yes indeed. But the word `retribution’ was already stamped upon the disbelievers.”
[39:72] It will be said, “Enter the gates of Hell, wherein you abide forever.” What a miserable destiny for the arrogant.
[39:73] Those who reverenced their Lord will be led to Paradise in throngs. When they get to it, and its gates are opened, its guards will say, “Peace be upon you; you have won. Therefore, you abide herein forever.”
[39:74] They will say, “Praise be to GOD, who fulfilled His promise to us, and made us inherit the earth, enjoying Paradise as we please.” What a beautiful recompense for the workers!
[39:75] You will see the angels floating around the throne, glorifying and praising their Lord. After the equitable judgment is issued to all, it will be proclaimed: “Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe.”

Surah 50. Qaf, Verse 20:
Indonesian:
Dan ditiuplah sangkakala. Itulah hari terlaksananya ancaman.

En: Khan:
And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).

Surah 50. Qaf, Verse 21:

And every person will come forth along with an (angel) to drive (him), and an (angel) to bear witness.

Surah 78. An-Naba, Verse 17:

Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time,

Surah 78. An-Naba, Verse 18:

The Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and you shall come forth in crowds (groups);

[78:17] The Day of Decision is appointed.
[78:18] The day the horn is blown, and you come in throngs.
[78:19] The heaven will be opened like gates.
[78:20] The mountains will be removed, as if they were a mirage.

Translation:

79:42. They ask you about the Hour, and when it will take place!

79:43. It is not you (Muhammad) who is destined to announce its time.

79:44. Your Lord decides its fate.

79:45. Your mission is to warn those who expect it.

79:46. The day they see it, they will feel as if they lasted one evening or half a day.
8. Masa zaman nabi Musa lagi telah dimaklumkan pasal Saat.

Surah 20. Taha, Verse 14:
